Collecting Cow Pats

One of the fun jobs is to go into Roley's
paddock and pick up the dried cow pats.
It is brought back and put into our
compost and eventually it will
be spread on the vegetable garden.
Excellent work poopers!

Cricket on the Oval

During recess and lunch this group of boys

other and have wonderful skills.

Thursday Activities again!

Our colourful pig collection continues to grow.
On Saturday and Sunday March 22nd and 23rd
they will be running to the Newham Hall
for the O'Pig festival.

Each week our students are creating beautiful items
that will be on sale at the Mother's Day stall in May.
They are doing a great job.

Water for Health

Here are the 11 drinks randomly arranged.

We definitely need water to survive as it is used by
every organ in our bodies.

MU6 listen attentively to Jackie.

Julia begins to order the drinks according
to their sugar content.

Mimi carefully reads the label to check
the ingredients.

Ilise makes some final adjustments.

Andrew is making coca cola!
On Tuesday we enjoyed a session with a Western Water presenter entitled 'Water for Health.' We found out that tap water is better than spring water because it doesn't have any chemicals. Our brains are 75% water therefore we need to drink 6 to 8 glasses a day to stay hydrated. A can of coca cola has 9.5 teaspoons of sugar so don't drink it all the time. Too much sugar causes tooth decay, obesity and diabetes. Jackie put out 11 different drinks and we had to order than from worst (drink least) to best (drink most). She told us about the other ingredients in all the drinks.
